About me
Katherine Torres joined Colorado Legal Services in February 2019 as a bilingual paralegal with the ID department. In August of 2024, Katherine was excited to take on the role of Language Access Coordinator, where she continues to advocate for equitable access to legal services, ensuring that non-English speakers can effectively navigate complex systems and receive the support they deserve. She graduated from CU Boulder with a major in International Affairs and double minors in Political Science and Economics. She is currently completing a master's degree in Global Health at Arizona State University. Born and raised in Chicago, Katherine began her career working at an immigration law firm before transitioning to work as an interpreter and translator for over a decade across court systems, various medical settings, and early intervention programs for children and therapists.
